In keeping with our alliterative naming profile, we chose this word to represent the wines from around the world that inspire us. We have always felt that a sense of place, in addition to an amazing vineyard location, is what can transcend a person from bottle to memories.
The vineyard sites that appear with this name are places that we consider to be simply – majestique. Topping that list is St. Emilion, France for its old world charm and wines that exhilarate us. Le Chatelet Vineyard is planted to our two favorite varietals on two different soil types – Cabernet franc on limestone and Merlot on clay.
The rich limestone soils found in the Central Coast of California are the very ones that inspired us to create a Syrah from the Paderewski vineyard.
What’s next? Only our travels, and the friends we make along the journey, will determine our next inspiration.
